Module IV Assignment

Based on both my individual discussion board responses and the group assignment, the most important topics of this section are the following, risk involved by all parties involved in the educational process, the importance of financials towards education, and how every action taken entails money rather than education, as well as how to make the educational process better overall.  Starting with the risks, one of the parties involved in the process is the students, which take the risk of attending school for many years with the expected outcome of having a proper education that will lead to success. The next would be the schools, for example, large schools with a proper image have to take many steps to ensure their actions do not cause harm to the education of the students or their image. These actions would be along the idea of maintenance throughout the school, receiving proper funding, and proper budgeting for certain already established and new programs. The other party would b

Module III Assignment

With the improved technology in today's time, it is much easier to make the same education available to everyone across the globe. Even with the possibilities, it is costly even now. And according to the material provided, those with higher education are revered as valuable. This is why only those who show promise or value would be invested. And so, due to the cost, only a certain percentage of the population receives proper education and is sought after. I believe this course should be pursued as a society as it brings awareness towards things which may take for granted and don't understand their true value.       Taking into consideration the information gathered from the discussion board group assignment, a chart shows the probability to graduate. The chart is categorized through segregation methods used, different districts, and their statistics which include the percentage of black students, resident enrollment, income per pupil, and equalized value per pupil. We see t

Module Part II Assignment

The question of how we educate all children is a bit general. There are multiple ways to educate people no matter their race, culture, gender, social class, or financial situation. One of the many ways would be by affecting and implementing this information in places with the most people. This is similar to a computer virus in the way the main goal of hackers is to affect as many people as possible, those who have windows operating system devices get targeted the most as they are the largest population of devices used by consumers. And so, by implanting this information gradually, society can start to be educated and manipulated from a young age without ever realizing it. But this is not exactly easy as it must appeal to human nature. Humans are naturally curious and questioning creatures, and because of this, morals and ethics issues are consistently in question. Although the world is constantly changing, teachings from parents to their children are based on previous experien

Based on Part I of the book and what we discussed as a group, ranking of words, phrases, and sentences, I believe that on the surface, public education mostly unifies the United States. As mentioned in the introduction, “Schools are the most familiar of all civic institutions. You find them in city slums and leafy suburbs, Appalachian valleys and mining towns high in the Rockies” (Pg. 1). Early on stating that in the essence of all civilizations, the education system has always been integrated. As one of the early stages of public schools becoming dominant, the public “formed the most decentralized system of school governance in the world.” (Pg. 4.). This meant that rather than the school being managed through federal means, the state would prevent government-distrusting, and tax-pinching actions as matters would be handled locally (Pg. 4). This is one of the first signs of public unification caused by the chase of proper education offered to the children. Another instance

Literacy History

Andy's Literacy History My name is Andy Nunez, and I am 18 years old and a sophomore. My major is Economics. My hobbies include cars, soccer, snowboarding, go-kart, paintball, and airsoft. The reason why I took this class is that it seemed the most interesting and actually something I could learn from compared to the other classes. When thinking back to my earliest experience of becoming literate, I can't really remember a time when I wasn't. It feels as if I've always known how to convey my feelings in words. As many kids once did, I grew up with nothing much but books. Being born in the Dominican Republic, even in a middle-class area, with many things considered luxuries back then, my parents never spoiled my brothers and me. And so I was forced alongside my older brother to be at the top of our classes in our studies. And so since young, I had an efficiency with grammar, as well as spelling. I do also remember when my grandmother would travel from the U.S. to visit
